Many changes have taken place in the healthcare industry, and among these changes are a rise in administrative costs of operating a medical practice. Services once covered by insurance are now either partially covered, covered under certain medical necessity, or not covered at all.
We want to continue to provide the highest quality medical care, but unfortunately, this requires providing services your insurance company will not cover. Over the past several years, we have absorbed the cost of these uncovered services; however, this has become unsustainable.
After much consideration, River City Retina Consultants finds it necessary to charge fees for the following paperwork:
• FMLA – $25
• Short and Long Term Disability – $25
• Kentucky Drivers Licensing – $15
• Medical Record Request (First copy is free) – $1 per page
◦ Example: If the total pages in the record requested is 15, your cost is $15.
Please note, your insurance company will not cover fees for either form disclosed here.
Administrative fees are due upon request.
